What does BLOG mean?

The word “blog” is derived from “web log,” and it stands for a "log" that you keep on the web (much like a diary) of your thoughts, your actions, and your reactions to what's going on with and the world, as well as other people’s thoughts and actions.

Blogs can be wonderful self-promotion tools!

Some of the most successful bloggers on the Internet post every single day, sometimes with multiple posts per day. Others post five days a week, and some only post once a week. The search engines are more likely to index blogs that have more frequent posts. That said, the subject matter of the blog can also be what determines your search engine ranking.

Help People Find You!

A great way to increase the number of visits to your blog is to comment on others’ blogs, or forum posts. When you read a good blog or forum post, or even one which is not good but makes good points, comment on it.  Show that you understood it and either agree or disagree with the post. By doing this, as long as you don’t leave an anonymous comment (be sure to Login first), you provide others with a link to your blog and ultimately, your Profile.

Comment, comment, comment!  Link, link, link!

Links are like votes. Commenting about a blog or forum is like a vote. With search engines like Google, every person who adds a comment, enters a vote for that particular topic. The more people that comment, the more important that topic becomes and the more visible it is to the rest of the world. You can really make a difference, making it easier for people to find EFT Professionals like you!

Blogging is fun.

As a "blogger," everyday events suddenly become potential blog or forum posts. An awareness develops that didn't previously exist. You can now view everything around you as inspiration for your blog.

I just started doing blogs on a regular basis. The info you have to help educate how to use them correctly and their importance is appreciated. Thanks for the post. Loren Fogelman http://www.kolpiacounseling.com/
